For anyone who may be free next Tuesday, 11 March 2014, a few of us are gathering by the car park at the Cow & Calf rocks (NOT the Cow & Calf Hotel) around 11am, for a wander to check out some of the sites on the moor above - including the Woofa Bank Enclosure and its cluster of cup-and-ring carvings; the Roms Law circle, the Great Skirtfuls tombs, etc. Bring food & sustenance with you.

No mate - there#s another Woofa Bank on the eastern side of Ilkley Moor - onto Burley Moor, near the Little Skirtful of Stones. We're gonna go see this fella here - http://megalithix.wordpress.com/2012/10/22/woofa-bank-enclosure/

Hi Paul and Dan
Just a quick one to say a huge 'Thanks' for inviting James and I on the walk on Rombalds moor on Tuesday - amazing - just amazing!
I cant quite get my head around how to upload photos just yet so here is a link to a pic of the 'Apostles at Sunset' on my blog

Paul - I sent you a message - if you don't get it please give me a shout. I have some things for you and some ideas for your book.
Cheers
James

Re: An Ilkley Moor Bimble
Superb photo James, I enjoyed the day out
I put a tutorial on awhile ago https://northernantiquarian.forumotion.net/t610-posting-photo-s-tutorial
but since Photobucket has changed the layout by adding an organize on/off button to get bulk links :- click it on highlight the photos you want then click the link button at the bottom of the page
I've done a small Blog http://teddytourteas.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/ey-up.html
I'll put some more photo's on here in a bit :- https://northernantiquarian.forumotion.net/t695-an-ilkley-moor-bimble
