    Messrs Boughey & Vickerman have the cup-mark down as "doubtful - could all be quarry marks." They might be right. hmmmm...

    You certainly can,
    so the stone was quarried and dragged all the way here for the Cows to Scratch on ?
    as there's no wall marks and it's not a gate post and just happens to slope point the summer solstice sun set
