    Hi,

I found this site while googling for information on Scottish cairns. Hope you'll excuse the question, but could anyone please identify the location of the cairn in the photo below. I took it on a holiday to Scotland nearly 20 years ago and I'm trying to catalogue the photos before my mind goes completely! Also attach a photo of the local village if that helps.

    Many thanks

    Alchad

Hi There Alchad & welcome to the Forum.

In relation to the images you posted, is there any chance you remember whether it was on the west or east coast of Scotland? Highland or Lowland? any minor bits of detail my be of help to identify it.

    Hi Mikki,

I'm pretty sure it was on the east coast, my recollection was that I stayed near Loch Lomand the first night and then meandered up to John O'Grouts. I suspect this was an overnight stop somewhere between the two - which doesn't narrow it down very much I'm afraid!
