It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that Professor Mick Aston (of Bristol University) eminent archaeologist and former member of Channel 4s Time Team has died at the age of 66. Famed for his love of multi coloured rainbow jumpers and his great enthusiasm for Archaeology in Britain, especially his love of Celtic monasteries, churches and Dark-Age saints, and his recent work towards a better understanding and knowledge of the sacred, religious sites - in particular down in the south-east of Wales and along the Welsh borderlands. R.I.P Mick Aston. Sadly Missed. We won't see the likes of you ever again, Mick.
