The Malham Iron Age Pipe, the above YouTube video is of the actual found pipe being played !
I was asked if I could repair and clean up an old cassette tape, recorded (open mike) from an even older 78 record
here's what I managed with full scratch, rumble, crackle and pop filters in Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ the original recording was done in a house
next to Hunslet train shunting yard which can be heard towards the end, even though I removed allot
I was given a photocopy of a pamphlet about the pipe, at the same time, which I've photo'd and have included here.
Also I visited the area on a Molehill expedition looking for Flints here http://teddytourteas.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/its-not-easy.html

Hi well I found it fascinating too and despite spending much of my childhood in the area and with a father who knew Arthur Raistrick I didn't know anything about this.

I'm pleased you found it fascinating I met Doc. Raistrick a couple of times and visited him at his house at Linton a fascinating man !
He was in prison as a conscientious objector with Walter Wilkinson (link) who's books I collect
