    Hi Pete!

Have you never thought of starting up, for example, The Avebury Antiquarian?*, or a Southern Antiquarian? - or summat along those lines. You & Steve's finds & exploits should get much more coverage mate. The Heritage Action's TMA and other buncha halfwits who allege interest in the area are really only part-timers and other species of fly-by-night participants who don't have the organic realism required of archaeomythic arenas. You could easily get summat really good going on for the region Pete. I know I'm 200 miles away, but I'd certainly help out in whatever way I could. I reckon you'd get a lotta decent feedback once it was up & running.

    Just a thought...

    * That's the AA, so Dave can help out with that one! Razz

something is cooking along those lines for later in the year.
It the past other Avebury forums have been over run with Ufo/crop circle freaks
or self opinionated activists who aren't working with a full load.
The NT are slowly taking over more of Avebury as a money making scheme rather than as a convservation/education body.
NT now do Tours for £30 a head that allow special access to museum exhibits which Should be open to all.

When the Avebury Book is finished the website won't be far behind.
    Pete
