Naathen!
To those of you who don't mind walking across boggy moorland, off-path, ambling seemingly blindly hither & thither, looking for ancient sites - both catalogued and unknown - we are meeting up next Thursday, 27 May, 2010, at the scruffy parking spot at the edge of Askwith Moor, grid reference SE 175 506, here (the little square at the centre):

A previously unrecognised stone circular monument has been found (yesterday) along the cairnfield ridge and, quite rightly, we need to get our teeth into it a bit more. There's rock art, tombs, settlement walling and bloody good countryside all round. There are 5 of us meeting up so far. If you wanna come along with us, be at the car park next Thursday around midday!
