Agra Wood - Rock Art

Hi Paulus feel free to use any of my photo's on site, you'd need to spend a couple of weeks exploring the wood

here's looking along the front of the wood



and up into it

this is only a tiny part, as far as you can see into the wood there's over grown boulders.I don't know the etequette yet but I had to clean off the cup and ring at boulder 4 with a brush, I'd stopped for dinner as it looked a flat top table like and brushed the pine needles and some moss off ! I wasn't expecting a ring carving ! it's certainly started a new interest, hope there's not too many photo's

That's fine Danny. If you're exploring & seeking out new sites, it's common practice. It's just applying common sense when checking 'em out. We (and others) have used water on the carvings to highlight them when the sun's out, giving much better visibility of the cups and rings.

here's a better 25k map there's a gate just below the sheepfold, I might turn up, though it's given heavy rain for the afternoon !
