Another forum here, dealing with the great and mysterious ancient megalithic sites and their animistic archaeological compatriots. We can talk, discuss, theorize, patronize and indulge ourselves in the multifaceted arenas which our old standing stones and other neolithic and Bronze Age remains bring to our minds. Me, personally, I've got a slant which is particularly interested in the pre-christian aspects of our archaeological past: the mythic ingredients underlying our old remains. It's the 'old' cosmologies which particularly tickle me. Archaeological data, history records, folklore remnants, anthropological analyses, place-name relics, comparative religious practices, are all interesting facets that can bring to bear wider overviews on ancestral cultures and their remains - in this case such remains as stone circles, solitary monoliths, legendary rock outcrops, even holy wells and old stone crosses, etc, etc.

So let's see if we can waffle about such matters - ey!?

But pleeeeeez.....none of the political diatribes which have come to pollute and infest other forums; no overt constant egocentric rants, trying to prove the juvenile points of bettering each other; no untested religious New Age fanaticism borne of powerful subjective events which have yet to be integrated; and unless it's warranted, let's try not to have slagging matches, with people effing & blinding at each other! Piss-taking is fine from time to time. Humour is a necessity! But most importantly - let's try pushing each other with ideas we aint necessarily tried before - be they archaeocentric, transpersonal ventures, or simply outings to sites at select times of the year to watch and feel...

Tis a wonderful world we have at our feet. So let's see where we can go...

Cheers - Paulus
