TNA Ways...

Post  Admin on Mon Feb 02, 2009 2:12 am

Another forum here, dealing with the great and mysterious ancient megalithic sites and their animistic archaeological compatriots. We can talk, discuss, theorize, patronize and indulge ourselves in the multifaceted arenas which our old standing stones and other neolithic and Bronze Age remains bring to our minds. Me, personally, I've got a slant which is particularly interested in the pre-christian aspects of our archaeological past: the mythic ingredients underlying our old remains. It's the 'old' cosmologies which particularly tickle me. Archaeological data, history records, folklore remnants, anthropological analyses, place-name relics, comparative religious practices, are all interesting facets that can bring to bear wider overviews on ancestral cultures and their remains - in this case such remains as stone circles, solitary monoliths, legendary rock outcrops, even holy wells and old stone crosses, etc, etc.

So let's see if we can waffle about such matters - ey!?

But pleeeeeez.....none of the political diatribes which have come to pollute and infest other forums; no overt constant egocentric rants, trying to prove the juvenile points of bettering each other; no untested religious New Age fanaticism borne of powerful subjective events which have yet to be integrated; and unless it's warranted, let's try not to have slagging matches, with people effing & blinding at each other! Piss-taking is fine from time to time. Humour is a necessity! But most importantly - let's try pushing each other with ideas we aint necessarily tried before - be they archaeocentric, transpersonal ventures, or simply outings to sites at select times of the year to watch and feel...

Tis a wonderful world we have at our feet. So let's see where we can go...

Cheers - Paulus

TMA Bleating ninnys!

Post  muddymick on Wed Feb 04, 2009 5:26 pm

Now Then Paulus,
I just had a quick peruse at the old egomaniacs on TMA, where suprise suprise they are having a go at you! and by default your website.
Rhiannon the back of scenes instigator and some dude with a sense of humour bypass called spaceman or something of thet ilk.
Well as the old saying goes "jealousy is a rather ugly emotion"
Speaking as a northern oik that has known you for a good few years I suppose they can be excused for not realising that the southern jibes are tongue in cheeck to say the least.
We can only assume thet the rather tame critique of some egomaniacs on certain sites has hit a bit too close to home 'they protesteth too much'
Never mind old fruit every birth has an element of pain just lets get on wi'it and watch your baby grow!
Regards
MM
P.s and rejoice in a site that seems to have a damn honest, transparent agenda of investigation and sharing regardless of vested interests and personal power mongering affraid [i]

Hello - Chappers here..........
Just checked in to add my support to your TNA site - a worthy venture indeed.
Good to see a new perspective with detail about the sites rather than endless photographs.

I wouldn't be too dissapointed if not many people flock to support TNA - its the times we live in, and those with a genuine interest can probably be counted on two hands.

stick at it slow and steady like, and it could become the focus to move the study of our indigenous sacred sites to the next level.

......oh and gets some bloody clothes on that avatar ya freak Shocked

That's the way I anticipate things to be, tbh. And I aint into rushing things with this, or the TNA either. I'd like the latter to grow a.s.a.p., but it aint pragmatic and I'd rather take mi time with it. Let's just wait and see how things develop over the coming months.

Thanks for your support and words of encouragement btw (that's to everyone!). Tis good to hear and really appreciated!

All the best - Paul

Hello Paulus - Remember me???

I wondered where you had gone to! (your avatar slightly gives you away) Its good to know you are still doing good things, here and on your new website. I like it. It would be good to meet up again soon and have a walk to some of those places you used to take us. Just thought I'd pop in and say 'Hello'. I'll be in touch later on.

Take care - Mary Cool
