    I have just found this forum because I Googled "Cockersand Abbey +bones" - never found it before, so I've just joined. If anyone has any info on this topic or anything on the history of Thurnham, Lancashire, I would love to hear it.

    Hello Goose Girl, welcome to TNA. Glad you found the article on Cockersand Abbey of interest. I am very interested in these old abbey's and monasteries. I think they are often forgotten by archaeologists, apart from one down Bristol way, but I think we should have a few on here because of there antiquarian values. I visited the site many years ago and was captivated with it. Ray.bounce
