A wild and hopeful stab in the dark this one. I wonder if anyone knows owt about any remains at a place called (on modern OS-maps) 'Ringstone Clough', barely a mile north of Whaley Bridge, Cheshire? Burl says nowt about it & I can't find anything in the usual texts. Does anyone know of anything that used to be here, or might still be here? A farmhouse here bears the same name and records of the name go way back.
