The 'Guardians of Ilkley Moor' group which is against the Stanza Stones vandalism to be done on rocks on Ilkley Moor & Rivock Edge (where there are many cup&ring stones, including some that remain unregistered) now has the support of Andy Burnham, creator and editor of the world's primary website, Megalithic Portal, who signed-up on the Facebook-group yesterday:

Huge huge thanks Andy!
C'mon people - we need more of you on board here. This bunch of wealthy tossers are increasingly bringing their cancerous ways onto the hills in our country, with their unwanted arty-shite. Their actions will bring about an increase in further vandalism - this is undoubted, despite what Stanza Stones organizers Tom Lonsdale, Rachel Feldberg and their ilk proclaim. All they're interested in is money & fame. They couldn't give a shit about the sites on the hills. Indeed, when this project was first proposed a couple of years ago, Rachel Feldberg said, "we want to emphasise that we do not want to do anything in any way that will upset anyone or damage the moors." Either the woman's a liar, or she's got Alzheimer's (imo) - either way, she simply doesn't give a toss and - along with Simon Armitage, Pip Hall, Tom Lonsdale - is simply interested in making money out of this. "Fuck the countryside - as long as we make money!" should be the Stanza Stones slogan.
