Some excellent images there Danny! - ta for the grid-refs aswell! cheers It'd be good to venture up here again when the bracken's fallen back to dig out the other carvings and see what other sites may lay hidden amidst the herbage.

...and let's hope our weather-forecasting guru can tell us what the likelihood of us drowning at the end of the day is gonna be next time! Cool

And here's a couple of the cup-and-ring stone profiles:

It'd be good to go back up there again when the bracken-triffids have died back, so we can venture & explore in safety. And see where we're going! Rolling Eyes

Here's the profile of the new cup-marked stone Danny found on our bimble near the end of the day here:

    http://megalithix.wordpress.com/2011/12/26/17265/

Twouldst be good to have another look round here again in the coming weeks, now that all the bracken's just about gone. There are other cup-and-ring carvings in the nearby Bryan's Wood and, I reckon, some that still remain hidden. There are also lines of settlement walling in there and a possible standing stone first found by Richard Stroud on one of our wanders here...
