I hung around in Tesco's car park for 1/2 hr this morning, untill security thought I was casing the joint ! So I thought I'd I'd have a look, no problems as far as Chipping then it becomes a maze of unsigned lanes, after awhile I stopped and asked a local "Banjo player" am I on the right road for Bleasdale ? Nah ! th's init ! well I'm looking for the church Arrgh! up there left left and yer in Chipin can't miss Church ! thanked him and didn't have to squeal ! abit later I stopped and asked an oil delivery tanker, Yes back where you've come and when you get to the No Entry! Private Road! Keep Out! sign it's up there ? and he was spot on it's the green dotted track from Higher Brock Mill passed the school

The team are up there next Thursday around midday, but now I don't think they need to go as you've done it for them. Not a great deal to see really, but as ever some great pics. Thanks Danny and Teddy. Shocked

I think John knows of a few other places nearby that aren't that well-known. I was hoping we could get up the adjacent hills aswell, but don't know if there's owt up there. Hope to see y' on Thursday! Smile

There is a geat deal to see at Bleasdale Circle. The site is intact, both inner and outer circles and ditches. The landscape setting is superb. Images are fine, but to get a true sence of place and a real understanding of a site one MUST visit and view it in a lanscape context.

I note that 6 copies of HISTORIC WALKS AROUND BLEASDALE are available on AMAZON for £2.60.

I wrote this book 24 years ago & it was that price then.

    Worth a buy.
