    Hi folks,
as the forums relating to consciousness and the sacred landscape become more subjectively moderated they become blander and more banal. Is this true?
Do we as a race, nation, society and individuals become so wrapped up and protected/divorced from the real primal existence interior and exterior that we can no longer cope with freedom?
it would seem that we have mythologised the cult of victim hood to such a degree that it now has it's theology hierarchy and priests. Where will this lead us?
Are we such frightened little children that we require nay demand the protective parenthood of states, nations, authorities and moderators?
What does this Victim hood offer us? A childlike freedom from responsibility but nothing else! We see it spread it's insidious poison throughout society, trip on a curb or slip on a wet floor and how do most respond? Where there's blame there's a claim! Yep you got it litigation or somebody else's fault!
Within this relativist mindset of no responsibility we have seemed to accept that mutually exclusive truths can be true! That it is not what actually happened, what actually is or what was actually said that matters but how individuals feel about it! We can feel, think, emote, and create our own truths without responsibility.
It is extreme solipsism and a form of sanctioned, nay demanded schizophrenia. No surprise that we have created little amoral consumers in the perpetual engine of consumerism/capitalism.
Total freedom! from what? freedom from responsibility freedom from truth and freedom from love!
So why does censorship occur? Is it to protect us? If we are rational, educated, sane and loving humans what would we need to be protected from? Show us something that harms without need, denigrates without purpose, damages without discretion and we will see it for what it is......surely? we will turn away from and reject it's lack of love or truth......surely?
Hold a theory, belief or hypothesis up to cold light of discrimination, if it is smoke and mirrors it will be seen for such. So why can we not question certain areas? Why can we not argue that mutually exclusive truths cannot be truths? why can we not be vigorous investigators? Why are those that would tear down these duplicitous false idols silenced?
I know I have quoted this elsewhere but it seemed so apt.

"The populist authoritarianism that is the downside of political correctness means that anyone, sometimes it seems like everyone, can proclaim their grief and have it acknowledged. The victim culture, every sufferer grasping for their own Holocaust, ensures that anyone who feels offended can call for moderation, for dilution, and in the end, as is all too often the case, for censorship. And censorship, that by-product of fear - stemming as it does not from some positive agenda, but from the desire to escape our own terrors and superstitions by imposing them on others - must surely be resisted. ~Jonathon Green, "Did You Say 'Offensive?',"

I have to concur with Mr Green on this it is not love or truth that demands censorship but lies and fear!

    What do others think?

    Ey up Mick!

muddymick wrote:...as the forums relating to consciousness and the sacred landscape become more subjectively moderated they become blander and more banal. Is this true?

Certainly is! I recall forums being places where people could openly waffle & have a laugh, with little worries about some fuckwith coming along with the old control freak mantra, "you really upset me when you said that" (& variations thereof) being allowed to deny open conversations amongst people over 18. RU thinking of any forums or people in particular Mick? I think we can openly discuss things here without halfwitted morons with but-plugs up their arse spanking you silently from an invisible distance.

Fuck knows worrit is that some people are scared of in some of these forums; though it's usually summat they're guilty of which makes sure things are kept hidden, not mentioned, glossed over "for fear of offending someone" (another much-usaed mantra of control-freaks and other fuctup children). I think you've also gotta consider the authoritarianism behind the people who wield such poor displays of common sense. They feel threatened, though would try telling you that it aint them that's feeling threatened, but someone else - which is just a bullshit excuse for their own weaknesses and inability to deal with what's thrown at them. Psychologically speaking, they've yet to integrate a number of emotional features within themselves, either because they're still plagued by events from the past which they've done, or had done to themselves. So they can't really help it tbh. Not that they'd ever admit such a thing; as they still live under the delusion that weakness isn't summat they're guilty of, rather than recognizing that weakness can become a great strength when you allow the issue that generates such a feeling to overwhelm, penetrate and explore it, to see what the hell it is/was that gives rise to such discomfort. Just like when you were a kid, that's all...

It's as simple as this: if anyone can't openly talk about something without recourse to either complete avoidance or stopping the conversation cos they don't like it (assuming the discourse is one of true enquiry and not just argument for the sake of it), then the psychological viruses infesting them are big fuckers. In all likelihood, as is the case in the vast majority of people living with such weights within them, they'll either be taking their shit out on someone else, or worse still, the Earth (though if people have lived their lives this way, hopefully cancer or heart attacks might ensue before their damaging pathology is inflicted on other people). This latter avoidance trap is culturally endemic due to individual depersonalization and a lack of any real empathy with things outside of their own ego-boundaries.

muddymick wrote:Do we as a race, nation, society and individuals become so wrapped up and protected/divorced from the real primal existence interior and exterior that we can no longer cope with freedom?

No! Fundamentally no! If anyone wants to think otherwise, that's their right, but please keep it amongst themselves, i.e., those of you who love to believe it's OK to exist that way. And leave the rest of the human race to grow, develop and invest in each other the simplicities of joy, naivety, excitement, fear and the whole gamut of the experiential universe that's open to us. One road leads to cancer, the other to natural enquiry and discoveries about ourselves and the wider universe in which we participate.

I think what worries those who prefer the cancerous pathways even more (the control freaks and the easily influenced) is that the roads of the dead they believe they're trying to help others keep away from, are pretty well-known to those of us who once trod the world as they still do...and the myopia they suffer gets even stronger, the more they avoid contact.

To me, the most upsetting consequences of this presiding social group, the consensus trance people, is they're destroying the Earth's ecosystem without any care. And if they have no regard to the the Earth, they obviously have no love for their children beyond their limited ego-boundaries. Who wozzit that called them "the people of the lie"?

    Bhhggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

    Hi Paulus,
Yes I was thinking of particular forums and censorship.

Look at the TMA, it has degenerated beyond recognition, homogeneous in the extreme and bland beyond compare. The TMA appears to be run by a clique of very like minded individuals who will bear no questions or assaults on their accepted world views whether that be historic, philosophical, religious or political. They have gone a step further and are now censoring the past! by removing posts that question or disprove their accepted credo.
I and others have fallen foul of their censorship by being ganged up on, denigrated, ridiculed and baited and the end result when all this failed.....banned.
I have read posts on there by 'approved' posters that are frankly so poisonous and personal including the use of offensive language that they would have been banned on any other site. They the approved (of the same religion, club, etc etc) can post with impunity.

Take the Megalithic Portal (which I do like and I have a lot of time for Andy B) is it now going down the same path? I hope not!
It is in no way similar to the TMA other than it's arbitrary use of censorship!
Apparently if ones logic and facts are faultless yet ones delivery is less than palatable (to the admins)ones posts can be removed.
As I have posted previously it would appear that we can post the most outlandish and even offensive drivel possible and if it is palatable to the Admin in question it is acceptable. One can not refute nor argue against such if ones delivery is deemed unpalatable by the admin.
    Where does this lead us?
It is lucky that chefs do not cook in the same fashion ....."onions are banned in my restaurant" ...or gallery owners show exhibitions...."no purple in my pictures it offends mine eye"
We are left again where neither wit, nor intellect nor reason prevail but the constraints of the tastes of the lowest common denominator.
